Camille is a freelance dancer, teacher, choreographer, and mentor who hails from Bronx, New York. Camille is trained in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, and West-African Dance.

Camille graduated from Wilson College with a Master of Fine Arts in Choreography, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance, and Winston Salem State University with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies.

She has had the privilege to study under Kim Grier, Imani Faye, B.J. Sullivan, Dmitry Povolotsky, Duane Cyrus, and other influential teaching artists.

Camille is an Assistant Professor of Dance at Coppin State University and is training to become a certified Dunham Technique Instructor. She teaches African diaspora dance forms and other styles of dance throughout the Baltimore area.

MORE ABOUT CAMILLE

Camille’s passion for & commitment to dance has afforded her the opportunity to perform the works of Urban Bush Woman, Na Ni Chin, and Rod Rogers. Camille has also danced as a company member for Baltimore based companies, Keur Khaleyi African Dance Company and The Collective. She has performed and toured throughout the East Coast in venues including the Baltimore Museum of Art, Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum, The Apollo, City Center, and Riverside Theatre. She has showcased her work at the Baltimore Theater Project, UNCG Dance Theatre, Creative Alliance, & HSA Theater. She has been featured in the Arbutus Times and she has also appeared in Essence Magazine, the Baltimore Sun, and the Bronx Times.
